CLIMBER TEACHER SPEAKER

Calgary, Alberta

MEET

ANDREW BRASH

Based in Calgary, Alberta, Andrew has been chasing his climbing dreams for over 30 years in some of the world’s most beautiful mountain environments, including Nepal, Tibet, western China, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Alaska, and South America.

During one of his experiences, on the northern slopes of Mount Everest in Tibet, Andrew found himself two hundred metres from the top, and faced with a life-changing decision: whether to press on toward the summit and achieve a lifelong dream, or stop and try to help a fellow climber who had been left and presumed dead.

The resulting story made headlines around the world.

Andrew offers a recounting of this spectacular experience in his Keynote Presentation: “Three Rules for Living: Lessons Learned in a Life of Climbing”.

Drawing on his many mountaineering experiences, including the dramatic events that took place on Mt. Everest, Andrew’s presentation centres around three rules for living that can be applied to everyday life, and help anyone try to make greater sense of their lives and the increasingly complex world we live in.
